Our Story
In 2019, the Sánchez and Dávila families came together to open their first El Rancheros Mexican Food restaurant in Modesto, California.
The two compadres, born in the Mexican states of Sinaloa and San Luis Potosí, share a deep love for traditional Mexican cuisine and a long history of running family-owned businesses in their home country. They know firsthand what it takes to earn a customer’s trust—and how to keep them coming back.
After immigrating to the United States—the Sánchez family in the 1980s and the Dávila family in the 2000s—they worked in various Mexican restaurants, learning not only how to cook delicious, authentic dishes, but also how to provide exceptional customer service. With their combined experience, passion, and dedication, they decided to start something of their own—a place where people could feel at home while enjoying the true flavors of Mexico.
Thanks to the loyalty of our customers and the support of our friends, El Rancheros Mexican Food has now grown to six locations:
- One in West Sacramento
- Two in Modesto
- One in Riverbank
- One in Patterson
- And our newest location in Rancho Cordova
